![]() From the beginning, your custom design starts with a sketch, an idea and a clear concept. Your stationery helps carry your theme across various elements for your wedding, event or business branding. Standing as the first impression, the colors and the motif set the tone for the event or brand. When people perceive the image in the same way, a brand is born and that is what I can do for you. Some common questions can be answered here. {INITIAL CONSULTATION} Consultations can take place in person in beautiful Long Beach, California, via email or over the phone. I do not have a studio location however I can arrange a consultation for local clients. At that time a rough design direction and concept is formed to help capture your personality, style and branding theme. Consultations can last up to one hour. Additional consultation time is billed at $50/hour. At this time we can explore all sorts of inspirations from fabric, magazine tear sheets, photos, colors, flowers, and anything else that expresses your idea and theme. I will also help you understand the design process and cost involved with printing. I will provide you with a very detailed questionnaire for you to fill-out that will help me get the best idea of what you are looking for and what makes you, your event or your company unique. Please explore my previous work to get an idea of some possible options. {PROPOSAL & CONTRACT} Within a few days, depending on the scope of the project, you will receive a proposal followed by a contract based on your consultation. During this time I will be able to get the best price for all the elements you would like included in your stationery including the style and quantity desired. Once you approve the contract, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required before I can begin the creative process. Also, at this time wording, dates, locations and any other details should be provided to me. Then the creativity begins! Within a week there will be a first round digital proof provided to you via email as a PDF. Check carefully! This is your chance to make revisions and edits. Your proposal includes two rounds of revisions and please note colors on screen may not print exactly the same. Additional edits are billed at $30 proof regardless of scope of revisions. {APPROVAL} After your design revisions are applied, you will be sent a final PDF file for your signature approval. You will be required to provide a signed approval prior to sending to print. This is very important! Nothing will be sent to print without your signed approval. Your signature authorizes that you have checked for any errors, misspellings and that all information is included. Paper Cut Industries and Monica Majors are not responsible for errors on approved proofs. Any reprinting and labor costs required for reprinting are the responsibility of the client. {PRINTING} When all our T’s are crossed, we can begin to print! In order to begin this process, the second payment is due. Printing can take one to two weeks to complete, depending on method chosen and time of year. At this time all separate elements will be purchased such as envelopes, paper and embellishments. Envelopes can be sent early to the calligrapher, printer or to you to be addressed for a fee of $40. This is when those custom rubber stamps and postage will come in handy! They are great at speeding up the process in presenting a pretty package. You will always be up-to-date on the printing and package status. A complete package with all the elements will then be sent to you with insurance and delivery confirmation. I work closely with my printers and will make sure printing looks great before completing your order to make sure colors and layout are correct. {ASSEMBLY} Paper Cut Industries can fulfill your order completely. All mailing lists must be submitted in a Word, text or Excel spreadsheet format. Assembling of invitations, stuffing envelopes, labeling or calligraphy, decorating with embellishments of any kind and mailing all done by Paper Cut Industries can be done at an additional fee of $60. All remainder elements such as the rubber stamp will be mailed to you after completion. {TIMELINE} Everything that happens after a consultation affects the timeline for delivery of your completed stationery. Please allow four to six weeks from the initial consultation to design, print and deliver your order. ![]() For the jet setter, ordering from my Signature Collection couldn’t be easier.
